Voter Photo Identification Law
Alabama law requires all voters to present a valid form of photo identification when voting in any Election. Acceptable forms of Photo I.D. are as follows:
- Alabama Driver’s License – not expired more than 60 days
- Alabama Non-Driver Identification Card
- Alabama Photo Voter Identification Card
- State Issued I.D. (Alabama or any other state)
- United States Passport – or – Passport Card (as long as it has a picture of the voter)
- Federal issued Identification Card
- Employee Identification Card from the Federal Government, State of Alabama, County Government, Municipality, Board, Authority, or other entity of THIS state
- Student or Employee Identification Card from a college or university in the State of Alabama (including postgraduate technical or professional schools)
- U.S. Military Identification Card
- Tribal Identification Card
- Pistol Permit – as long as it has a Picture and is NOT EXPIRED
** The only form of identification that can be expired (up to 60 days) is an Alabama Driver’s License – ALL OTHERS MUST BE CURRENT **
